TANJA!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( May God have her soul and give her the peace she deserves)
Tanja was the hippo at Artis Naturalis Amsterdam. Artis didn't have enough room to house hippo's, but they couldn't say goodbye to Tanja, because she was one of the zoo's oldest inhabitants. Specially for her they created a special 'Tanja pool', and made sure she would be able to have a good place on her old age. She died not that long ago, beeing one of the oldest hippo's in captivity.
And yes, she smiles, Tanja was great! GREAT shot, of a great animal
